FAQs

What is meant by regional representation?

Regional representation includes three main responsibilities:

  1. Representation of the region toward its member ministries

  2. Representation of the region on the Regional Advisory Committee (RAC)

  3. Representation of the region on the UWM Standards Team (development of policy/procedure)

These responsibilities are fulfilled by a board-appointed regional representative who will be the primary point of contact for both the member ministries as well as any UWM business related to the region. Additionally, the regional representative supports the development of new ministries in the region, including their approval process for membership within UWM.

I am a member, and I need help navigating some challenges within my ministries. What do I do?

Any member or representative of member ministries is welcome to connect with the regional representative via the contact form on this page. The regional representative will then determine who the best point of contact is depending on the concern or topic at hand.

For example, for ministry training, we work with well-trained and educated ministry consultants. For generally available information, we attempt to provide the necessary information for relevant resources or relate the request to the appropriate person or team either within the region or at UWM. Consequently, the regional representative is the primary contact for any member to receive support and guidance.

What are the Regional Advisory Committee and Standards Team?

The regional advisory committee (RAC) is a collaborative effort between UWM Staff, UWM Board, and representatives of each region. The primary purpose of the RAC is to allow for free communications between the regions and UWM to represent regional and worldwide interests and find ways to working together.

The Standards Team creates and updates policy and procedure. By being represented on that team, the region is able to contribute to the process and mold the future of the Unity movement via its governing documents.
